Alyssa Krizek-
CROSSFIT Teens
Originally a California girl, Alyssa moved to Colorado in 2013 from West Hollywood, CA. She tried going to a "regular gym" in Denver where she took CrossFit "inspired classes", but decided she wanted something more… A friend of hers recommended checking out CrossFit Wash Park, saying it was a great gym with a wonderful community and awesome programming. She tried it out in the Fall of 2017 and quickly noticed that it was! The amazing community of members and coaches was right where she belonged!
Alyssa was a gymnast from the ages of 5-9 and a competitive cheerleader until age 21. Despite having this background, she could never handstand walk until Ethan taught her at a noon class shortly after she started attending the gym (sometime it just takes the right coaching cue!)
Alyssa started out as a co-coach to the kids program and now runs the CFWP teens program. She is passionate about making fitness FUN and strongly believes integrating fitness into lives during teenage-hood helps athletes understand that fitness is enjoyable and is a life long goal.
Community, inclusion, structure, and strength are integral to Alyssa in her coaching to teens.
When Alyssa isn’t coaching, you can find her as an athlete hoping for a workout of assault bike, dumbbell snatches/overhead lunges, and probably a little handstand walking....of course, with rest in between rounds *wink wink*.
Alyssa holds a CrossFit L1 certification and plans on doing her CrossFit Level 2 in the near future, as well as certifications as a NASM-GPT trainer and 2 certifications in FundamentalS and Group TRX.
