Part time Coach

I moved to Denver in 2017, where I planned to try out CrossFit for the first time, despite no real sport/fitness background. CFWP was one of the first gyms I tried, and I've been here ever since! I got hooked on the CrossFit modality and spent the next few years soaking up all the knowledge I could from Ethan and all the coaches & classes, until I finally got my L1 in 2020 to further expand my understanding and knowledge. From that, I was able to coach studio row classes for a while, then after a coaching break for school and other work, in summer of 2025 I finally made the jump to coach CrossFit, here in the community that helped me fall in love with it.

As athletes, we all want different things out of CrossFit, so my goal is to help each individual athlete I coach get closer to whatever that is for them. But sometimes it also helps to have a coach who pushes you to stretch those goals — whether that's teaching you something new about CrossFit, cleaning up a movement pattern, sharing a trick for efficiency, or nudging you to really test and find out what you and your body are actually capable of!

Within CrossFit, some of my favorite movements are DB snatches/devil's press, burpees (listen, I know I'm insane), heavy deadlifts, and almost any workout with an 8-minute-or-less time cap! #GoHot!!!! And when it comes to testing what my body's capable of, I've done most of the "why would you do that" events CFWP offers — row marathons, the row/bike/run tri, a Misogi and 8 CrossFit games seasons. CrossFit gives you the fitness to say YES, so this year that's meant a sidequest into running: the BolderBoulder with a CFWP crew, the BolderThon full marathon, and the Arches 50K (big inspiration from fellow CFWPers!). Now I'm training for another road marathon and a 50-mile ultra in Canyonlands, because apparently we can do things we never thought possible.

Outside of fitness, I'm an LCSW and full-time social worker at a high school and spend my free time eating...eating...eating (vegan for over a decade), going to the movies, and visiting the library/reading as much as I can — usually cuddled up with my cat, August James.
