After I had my fourth child, I wanted to get back into shape and add an element of
strength training to my running and yoga regimen. Ethan worked with me to find
exercises that were scaled to my post-partum body while also offering encouragement
along the way. Ethan also provides various class times that work with my busy schedule.
Over the past 8 months, my body has changed from “need to lose the baby weight” to lean muscles and lots of strength, and (most importantly) the baby weight is gone. Each week, CrossFit Wash Park has been a fun, encouraging place to workout, and long term the workouts have been transformative!

During the last five months, Ethan and Kristina have become more than just my coaches, but my friends. Their energy and encouraging words have pushed me to become stronger and leaner than I ever thought was possible. I recently got my first unassisted pull up and have increased my original back squat weight over 80% in just a few months! I have more energy, feel happier and am excited about working out. Additionally, I have met so many great friends at the gym. They inspire and push me everyday. When you walk through the doors, you feel at home and whether you are first or last during the workout, everyone is there to cheer each other on. I highly encourage anyone who aspires to live a happier and healthier life to give Crossfit Wash Park a try.

The best thing I decided to do this year was join the awesome community at CrossFit Wash Park!!! For the first time ever I look forward to going to the gym at 6am :)
For most of my life I have been an endurance athlete not focusing much on strength...Crossfit has taken my fitness to a whole new level. I can honestly say, (with a big smile), that I am in the best shape of my life! Now, not only am I an endurance athlete but I am getting stronger daily and can see my body transforming. The workouts have translated to improvements across my various other activities as well, including: PR's in my distance races, better endurance on the soccer field and a lot more overall strength in my climbing.
Ethan, our head coach, is nothing short of wonderful. He's made it a point to know me individually as an athlete and a person and caters his training style with me to my needs. There are many times during the WOD's where I get personalized attention and because of this my technique and strength are constantly improving. The atmosphere that he has created is intense, energizing, competitive, a lot of fun...and place I thrive in! And the people that I work out along side are not only motivating and inspirational but they have become friends, the camaraderie between the athletes makes hitting the gym each day a treat!
CFWP has my full endorsement, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a challenging, fun, butt kicking work out!!!

About 5 months ago, I realized and decided that I needed to make a change in my workout routine - read: get a workout routine. I wasn't an athlete during high school or college, nor had I ever really learned how to work out in a gym. Needless to say, joining a gym and fig

ut it. As luck would have it, CrossFit Wash Park was in my neighborhood, and I couldn't be luckier. Ethan and his wife Kristina are not only incredible coaches, they are encouraging and caring friends, who welcome and treat everyone like family. Through their support, I gained strength and endurance I didn't think I could have. We never do the same old thing over; each workout is a new composition of skills and movements, and I look forward to each new challenge. I have accomplished more than just my goal of a steady workout routine, I made a lifestyle change.
